what we may ask for

In the course of the medical examination or assessment, further medical information may be required to meet the aviation authority’s requirement for aeromedical certification. The required information might be a medical record or a medical report.

A medical report is written by your GP or specialist following a consultation and/or investigation and is held on file as a medical record.

We may request pre-existing medical records and/or a fresh report from your GP or specialist. This may include (but is not limited to) blood test results and results of scans or other investigations such as CT, MRI or exercise ECG.

At times, we request the actual images of the scans, which would typically be on a CD ROM; or the actual ECG tracings of the exercise and 24 hour ECG.


How to send us your medical Reports

It is easier and less work for us for you to ask your GP or specialist for your medical records, and we will provide you with details of exactly what is needed as standard, including your consent. Your doctor will typically then send the report to us.

If you are sending us your medical records or reports, please abide by the following principles in order to avoid any unnecessary delays in processing your medical:

Sending by email

  • Send in PDF format only - DO NOT send photos from a phone or tablet

  • Send multiple-page documents as a single PDF file

  • Scaling should be 100% as the document may need to be printed

  • All documents must be in English and must be professionally translated by an accredited translator when the original copy is not in English.

Sending by post
