BREXIT & EASA/EU MEDICALS

FROM 1 JANUARY 2021, WE ARE AUTHORISED TO PERFORM EASA/EU MEDICALS

On 1 January 2021 EU aviation safety legislation, including Regulation (EU) 2018/1139 establishing EASA, will cease to apply to the UK. As of that date the UK will be considered as a third country and will no longer have the status of an ‘EASA Member State’.

This means that from 1 January 2021, UK-certificated AMEs must be approved and authorised by an EASA Member State to be able to undertake EASA/EU medicals. We are pleased to report that we have received such approval, and we are authorised to continue to perform all classes of EASA/EU medicals post-Brexit.
